Commission fees
I specialise in drawing animals, but i am happy to consider any other type of commission. If you have any questions or just wish to discuss your commission, please do not hesitate to contact me, I will get back to you as soon as possible. You can attach your image and message in the form below.
PHOTOGRAPHS
I will need a good quality photograph to work from (a selection would be even better). Please bear in mind my work is focused on the fine details of the subject, so it is very important your photo shows as much detail as possible. The more that is visible in the photo, the better will be the finished portrait. High resolution digital images are best, although I can work from a printed photograph if the quality is good enough. You can send me photos by email, using the form below, or by post, (your posted photos will be returned once your portrait is complete.) If you are having trouble taking a good photograph, and you live in or near Nottingham, I offer a free visit to take my own photographs.
TIMESCALE
Due to the realism in my work a drawing can take from 20-40 hours to complete. Therefore if you would like a drawing in time for a special occasion, please contact me for a lead time, as this will depend on my workload. Generally allow at least 3 months notice and I will do my best to meet your deadline.
DEPOSIT
I require a 35% deposit before I start your drawing. A scan of your portrait will be emailed to you when it is complete. Only when you are completely happy with it is the remainder of the payment required.
Sizing is a guideline only and is completely negotiable. If you have a specific size request for your portrait or it includes additional subjects, this can be discussed and quoted accordingly.
Recorded Delivery postage is included in UK orders. For orders overseas, please contact me for a quote on shipping costs.
Fees may be paid securely via PayPal, by UK Cheque, or Postal/Money Order. Please contact me if you wish to pay any other method.
COPYRIGHT
Reproduction and publishing rights for all artwork remain with Marie Brown and images must not be copied, reproduced or published in any form without her permission. The client agrees that commissioned images may be used by Marie Brown for promotional purposes, prints for sale or any other purpose.
